Alf made the tapestry of my own life all the richer because he was a man I respected, admired, and valued as a lifelong friend - a deep loss to us all. Rest in peace.

Can you hear a bird sing at the top of a chestnut tree?
I’m the song she’s singing so sweet a melody.
Can your head the stream flow, forever running free?
My laughter is in the ripples and bubbles eternally.
Can you feel the sunshine, warm upon your skin?
I am the very sun itself, the love you feel within.

This is for Alfie, a pal of long standing and a friend who will never be forgotten. A friend who loved to laugh with his mates all those years ago in the Gas Tavern pub on Regent Road and with his Josie in the Dockers Club on Trafford Road. Miss you old pal, now and forever. One of a kind who I was fortunate to call a pal. Rest in peace my mate.
